"Rusticoriginal"s founders have worked in Spain for 12 years and decided to move here permanently 10 years ago. Many of their projects have been photographed and published by magazines. Their work has also been shown in Spain on the front cover of "Casa & Campo" who included a ten page editorial. Julie has a weekly Spanish television programme which is presented by "Pinoso television" where she demonstrates decorative painting techniques.

Julie Collins interior designer and author...

Julie Collins is considered to be one of the UK's most versatile specialist decorators. Her impressive range of skills includes interior design, paint techniques, stencil making and application, hand-painted designs for furniture and tromp l'oeil room murals. Julie initially pursued a successful career in showbusiness, appearing in West End theatres, films and television programmes, before her passion for design and furniture painting escalated into a full-time occupation in the world of interiors. Her commissions range from stencilling the Albert Hall to designing the interiors of homes, offices and hotels in both England and Spain. Julie has written seven books relating to specialist painting techniques and stencilling, these have been translated in to most languages and sold throughout the world. Julie is known by many more people for her appearances on the BBC and other life-style television programmes.

Charles Lown conceptual designer...

Starting his career as an aircraft engineer Charles went into airframe modification and design work. His talent for recognising technical possibilities and achieving them using conventional materials has led to his influence in the design of every thing from cars to hotels. Now he prefers to concentrate his skills on the construction and restoration division of Rusticoriginal.
